This renewable energy developer has a track record of successful projects in the last few years is seeking a Wind Development Manager. This is an exciting opportunity to join a small but rapidly expanding team aiming to develop over 2GW of wind farms over the next five years. As a Development Manager, you will be instrumental in advancing multiple wind projects from early stages through to construction within a growing portfolio. Reporting to the Director of Development, you will play a key role in the company's renewable energy initiatives.
Your responsibilities will include leading wind projects through planning, environmental approvals, resource assessment, grid connection, and procurement, all the way to being ready for construction. You'll be the main point of contact for partners and external stakeholders, manage relationships with landholders and local communities, and maintain a strong commercial focus by overseeing project budgets and assessing the Levelised Cost of Energy (LCOE). You will also be involved in procuring and managing external consultants and contributing to turbine selection.
The ideal candidate will have a relevant degree in commerce, engineering, environmental science, planning, or a related field, along with experience in renewable energy development or related sectors. Strong stakeholder management, problem-solving, and project management skills are essential, as is an understanding of Australian energy markets and the approvals landscape across the eastern states.
