Role Overview:
The successful contractor will be responsible for the seamless operation, integration, and continuous improvement of the desktop environment and associated infrastructure, ensuring it meets the strategic and operational requirements of the Department.
Key Responsibilities:
- Continuous Improvement: Ensure the desktop environment is fit for purpose and continuously improved to meet the organisation's evolving needs.
- Provide expert Microsoft 365 and general technical support, advice, and contribution to improvements for approximately 200 employees worldwide.
- Standards Compliance: Deliver technical support and advice in alignment with Whole of Government standards and internal policies and procedures.
- Service Partnership: Work collaboratively with internal and external service partners to ensure support practices meet strategic and operational objectives.
- On-site Support: Perform hands-on, on-site support functions for locally logged tickets as required.
What do you need?
We are looking for a candidate who can hit the ground running with a proven mix of technical and soft skills:
- Microsoft Ecosystem Focus: Strong industry experience with deep knowledge of the Microsoft Office 365 suite (M365 applications, Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams), Microsoft Windows, and Azure.
- Endpoint Management: Strong experience in Intune App deployment and managing mobile devices.
- Infrastructure & Security: Practical experience with networking infrastructure, IT security, and cloud computing principles.
- Framework Knowledge: Experience applying industry practices using frameworks such as ITIL (Information Technology Infrastructure Library).
- Troubleshooting: Proven practical desktop IT knowledge and skills to effectively resolve commonly experienced IT issues both remotely and on-site.
- Project Support: Ability to manage conflicting priorities in a fast-paced environment while supporting business units to deliver project outcomes.
