What You Will Do:

• Assess and analyse current database assets and usage reports to identify opportunities for consolidation.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, document, and deliver optimal database solutions aligned with business needs.
• Support solution architects in designing high-level and detailed technical solutions, including estimations and documentation.
• Contribute to Agile and DevOps-driven projects, supporting the transition toward a database-as-code operating model..
• Engage with stakeholders across the business to understand the purpose of existing databases and recommend build or remediation strategies aligned with risk and value.

What You Need to Apply for This Role:

• Proven experience with Microsoft SQL Server (2008+), including installations on physical, virtual (VMWare), and Azure environments.
• Solid understanding of Azure Cloud Services and SQL PaaS, with the ability to liaise with Cloud Engineers effectively.
• Business analysis skills – able to gather technical requirements, reverse-engineer solutions, and interpret business drivers.
• Experience working in DevOps/Agile environments and familiarity with automation tools (e.g., Ansible, PowerShell, Azure DevOps).
• Excellent collaboration and communication skills, with a proactive and autonomous approach to delivering outcomes.
