Our Client is a global financial services company - Because of their immense growth in their Platform Management portfolio, an exciting opportunity has come up in one of their offices in Sydney. You will be joining their elite Data platform management team and playing an administrator/ Engineer role in keeping the Hadoop clusters running smoothly in production and would be instrumental in ongoing migrations and upgrades. They are urgently looking for platform Engineers/ Administrators to join their high performing team.

Skill Sets

You need to have the following skill sets to excel in this role:

• An in depth understanding on big data technologies like Spark, Hadoop and Hive.

• Extensive experience with AWS (S3, EC2, EKS)

• Good knowledge of at least one (or more) of the following technologies: Airflow, Trino/Presto,, Hive, Spark

• Linux Shell scripting background.

• Familiarity with Creation and Configuration of EMR clusters and Airflow upgrade.

• Experience with AWS and Kubernetes

• Python development experience

• Experience managing Cloudera clusters

• Experience with CI/CD tool
