About the Role
Reporting to the Director of Brand and Digital, the Corporate Events Manager will be responsible for the end-to-end planning and delivery of impactful events that align with Brisbane 2032’s strategic objectives.
As part of an agile team, the Corporate Events Manager will be hands-on in all aspects of event delivery, ensuring each experience reflects the excellence, innovation, and inclusive spirit of Brisbane 2032.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, manage, and deliver a variety of events, including large-scale public launches, community roadshows, internal staff events, and stakeholder engagements.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to develop event concepts aligned with Brisbane 2032’s strategic objectives and brand.
- Manage all event logistics, including venue sourcing, supplier coordination, permits, catering, AV, and guest management.
- Develop and manage event budgets, timelines, and run sheets, ensuring all deliverables are met on time and within scope.
- Ensure all events demonstrate Brisbane 2032’s commitment to excellence, accessibility, and innovation.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams and provide on-the-ground leadership during event execution.
- Monitor and evaluate event performance, gathering insights and feedback for future planning.
- Support internal communications and staff engagement through the delivery of high-quality internal events.
- Maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, suppliers, and community partners.
- Contribute to a collaborative, hands-on team culture that values flexibility and initiative.
Skills and Experience
- Extensive experience in event management or a similar capacity.
- Demonstrated success in managing all aspects of high-quality events, from initial concept to final execution.
- Exceptional creative thinking and problem-solving abilities.
- Superior communication and interpersonal skills for effective stakeholder engagement.
- Proven capability to effectively manage multiple projects simultaneously while adhering to strict deadlines.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and various event management software.
- Knowledge of styling, catering, entertainment, floral design trends, and brand activation strategies.
- Meticulous attention to detail and excellent time management skills.
- Understanding of risk management principles and mitigation techniques.
- Tertiary qualification in events management, marketing, or a related discipline (desirable).
