Randstad is partnering with a leading construction company to find dedicated Contracts Administrators to join their Project Management Teams. We have multiple permanent, full-time opportunities available for highly organised professionals to be based in their Northern Tasmania or North West Tasmania offices.
This is a chance to step into a key role where you will be instrumental in ensuring commercial success, quality, and compliance across diverse construction and joinery projects. You will be expected to work autonomously, applying solid planning and organisational skills to manage complex contract requirements.
About the opportunity
As a Contracts Administrator, you will be the central point of contact for project administration and an essential partner to the Project Manager. Your responsibilities span the entire project lifecycle, focusing on achieving or exceeding all commercial, safety, and quality requirements.
Key Accountabilities
- Contract Management: Assist the Project Manager with the preparation and management of head contract requirements, including monthly progress claims, invoicing, and assessing/submitting variations claims.
- Subcontractor Coordination: Manage the end-to-end subcontract process, from tendering trade packages and making trade package recommendations to implementation, monthly progress claim assessments, and issuing payment schedules.
- Project Financials & Reporting: Support critical financial management activities, including compiling monthly forecasting, labour projections, and developing monthly risk, opportunity, and project overview reports.
- Compliance & Quality: Act as the central point for project administration coordination, managing contract documentation, and ensuring all project administration aligns with statutory legislation and company quality/environment requirements.
- Communication & Support: Compile, register, and distribute project correspondence, drawings, and manuals. You will establish a regular project administration meeting rhythm and provide guidance to the assigned Project Management Team.
About you
Successful candidates will be committed to continual professional development and possess the following criteria:
- Demonstrated experience within the commercial construction industry
- A current White Car and a Car Drivers Licence. You must also have an understanding of health and safety and construction quality requirements.
- Strong verbal and written communication and planning, organisation, and time management skills.
- Proven ability to work autonomously, maintain confidentiality, and adapt to project needs while working under pressure.
