I am looking for a Technical Officer for a government agency in Townsville. This role would be a great fit for a construction tradesperson or a works officer who is interested in transitioning into a more technical advisory position with Qld Government Agency
Duties include:
- Liaising with Government Stakeholders regarding Government buildings, Schools, Hospitals etc
- Assign the correct priority to the breakdown
- Provide technical advice to Contractors in terms of repair decisions
- Review Condition Reports provided by contractors
- Provide reporting on breakdown status
- Undertake on-site Condition assessment
About you:
- Trade qualification (mandatory)
- Intermediate level of MS Excel skills including being able to create spreadsheets to monitor construction tenders
- Experience in tendering and costing for the construction industry
- Demonstrated ability to communicate well with customers and in-house staff both written and verbal
