Vinehealth Australia is seeking an experienced and dynamic Communications Advisor to deliver compelling and strategic communications that connect with our people, customers, and community. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the protection of South Australia’s world-renowned wine industry and help promote vital biosecurity initiatives.
Reporting directly to the CEO and Technical Manager, the Communications Advisor is responsible for planning, developing, and implementing communication strategies and content that align with Vinehealth Australia's business objectives. The successful candidate will bring strong communication expertise, stakeholder engagement skills, and a proactive mindset to a highly respected, purpose-driven organisation.
Lead and manage all communications activities, including delivery of the Communications Strategy
Provide expert strategic advice and industry connections to support organisational goals
Create, edit, and distribute a range of materials including e-newsletters, media releases, case studies, technical fact sheets, and reports
Manage content and updates for the website, social media platforms, and email marketing tools (e.g. MailChimp)
Liaise with external designers and media contacts to coordinate communications output
Facilitate monthly communications meetings with internal stakeholders
Assist with internal documents, grower surveys, and board communications
You are a creative and strategic communications professional with:
Proven experience in planning and executing communication strategies
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
Strong project and time management capabilities
Proficiency with digital communications tools (e.g. MailChimp, Canva, CMS platforms)
Experience working in or with the wine industry or a related primary industries sector (desirable)
A relevant tertiary qualification in communications, Public Relations, journalism, or related field
A credible and professional communicator who is proactive and solutions-focused
Someone who can work independently and collaboratively
A relationship builder with the ability to engage a range of stakeholders from government agencies to growers and media
Passion for bio-security and commitment to protecting the Australian wine industry
Part-time: 0.4 FTE (flexible scheduling available)
Adelaide-based position with occasional travel within SA
Out-of-hours work may be required occasionally
Current driver’s licence required
