Your Mission: Expert Care, Clinical Leadership
In this high-impact, full-time role, you will be an integral part of the CCU's leadership structure, supporting the NUM and driving clinical standards. Your key missions will be to:
Provide Advanced Clinical Expertise: Deliver evidence-based, high-quality nursing care within the Critical Care Unit, ensuring optimal patient recovery, complex management, and swift identification of clinical deterioration.
Support Operational Leadership: Act in the absence of the Nurse Unit Manager (NUM), overseeing shift coordination, resource allocation, and maintaining efficient ward operations.
Drive Quality & Safety: Ensure flawless clinical practice, mentor junior staff in evidence-based care, and champion adherence to all quality, safety, and clinical governance frameworks.
Mentor & Collaborate: Act as a clinical resource and role model for all CCU staff, actively sharing your specialized knowledge and fostering a strong, collaborative, and professional culture within the multi-disciplinary team.
About You: The Critical Care Specialist We Need
We are searching for a highly skilled Registered Nurse dedicated to excellence, passionate about critical care, and ready to embrace a rewarding leadership role and lifestyle in Tasmania.
The Specialist We Need: You are a highly proficient Critical Care RN with a minimum of 5 years of post-graduate experience working in an Intensive Care Unit (ICU) or Critical Care Unit (CCU). You thrive in a demanding acute environment and are ready to take on senior accountability.
Your Essential Toolkit: You bring Current AHPRA Registration (RN), demonstrated substantial clinical experience as noted above, and a mandatory post-graduate qualification in Critical Care Nursing. You possess exceptional communication skills and a proven ability to lead and coordinate shifts effectively.
