We are looking for someone local to Townsville with a solid background in civil and concreting works to join our growing team.

About the Role:

In this physically demanding and rewarding position, you will be involved in a wide variety of civil and road construction activities across the Townsville region. You’ll be part of a skilled team responsible for:

Key Duties Include:

Asphalt & Road Maintenance:

• Pothole repairs
  
  
• Mill & replace
  
  
• Edge breaks
  
  
• Shoulder rejuvenation
  
  
• Emulsion seals
  
  
• Paving
  
  

Concreting & Drainage:

• Concrete formwork, reinforcement, and pours
  
  
• Kerb & channel repairs and replacements
  
  
• Footpath repairs and replacements
  
  
• Concrete pipe laying
  
  
• Installation of concrete precast units (pits, troughs, GPTs)
  
  
• Stormwater drain repair
  
  

Other Civil Works:

• Line marking operations
  
  
• Signage installation
  
  
• Road reconstruction
  
  
• Spotting for plant/equipment
  
  
• Grade checking and geofabric application
  
  
• Coastal maintenance (e.g. bus shelter cleaning)

Requirements:

• Proven civil labouring and concreting experience (minimum 2+ years preferred)
  
  
• Must live in the Townsville region – no FIFO or relocation
  
  
• Must pass:
  
  
• National Police Check
  
  
• Full pre-employment medical (including drug & alcohol testing)
  
  
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work in outdoor conditions
  
  
• White Card and relevant civil tickets highly regarded (e.g. Roller, Skid Steer, Traffic Control)
  
  
• Ability to work well in a team and follow direction
