Randstad are seeking immediate applications from available and suitable candidates for the role of Project Engineer within a rapidly growing civil services business in the south coast region of South Australia.
Reporting directly to the General Manager, the Project Engineer will work closely with the operations team in all site-based engineering and quality control tasks, to ensure service and contractual agreements are met and projects are completed to the highest quality levels and as safely as possible.
Key responsibilities of this role include:
- Compiling of and submitting quotes and tenders
- Perform on-site project coordination and administration
- Assigning personnel to projects
- Studying product design, customer requirements and performance standards, completing technical studies, and preparing cost estimates
- Assist in project scheduling
- Prepare project status reports
- Management and coordination of subcontractors and suppliers
- Quality management
- Design and complete management plans
- Prepare estimates and purchase orders
The successful candidate will possess:
- Show a high level of organisational skills
- Demonstrate strong attention-to-detail skills
- Ability to build strong working relationships with suppliers, subcontractors, clients, and key stakeholders
- An understanding of civil construction processes
- Good computing skills including MS Suite and Project
- Strong commitment to safety principles
- Excellent time management skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Highly technical and details oriented
- Energetic with a positive, can-do attitude
- Minimum 1 years experience in the construction industry
- Tertiary qualifications in Civil Engineering or similar
