This Band 4 position, reporting to the Team Leader Business Support , is within the Amenity and Compliance - Business Support Team. You will be crucial in ensuring the smooth operation of the branch by providing professional, efficient, and effective administrative support.
Key Responsibilities Include:
...- Infringement Management: Undertake timely and accurate processing and assessment of applications for review of infringement notices. Make evidence-based infringement review decisions in line with legislation and frameworks.
- Customer Service: Provide high-level customer service at the counter and over the phone, addressing enquiries from residents and the community on a broad range of issues. Maintain an emphasis on superior customer service.
- Administrative Processing: Accurately and promptly process applications for nominations, payment plans, various permits, and animal registrations.
- Correspondence: Prepare high-quality written responses, including complex correspondence, explaining review outcomes and addressing customer concerns.
- Data Integrity: Ensure the accurate maintenance of computer files, records, and correspondence data, focusing on data integrity.

Essential Skills and Experience (Key Selection Criteria):
- Administration & Tech Proficiency: Proven proficiency in office procedures and the use of computer systems, including Microsoft Office and other operating software (e.g., Pathway, TRIM).
- Communication Excellence: Highly developed oral and written communication skills, including the ability to prepare complex correspondence. Must be able to deal with difficult people under varied and stressful situations.
- Organizational Prowess: Excellent time management skills, including the ability to plan and organize your own workload.
- Customer Service Experience: Significant experience in a high-volume administration and customer service environment, focusing on problem resolution and meeting service standards.
- Relevant Background: Experience in Justice Administration, Public Administration, Law Enforcement, Customer Service, or related fields.
Specialist Knowledge:
- Knowledge of relevant legislation, including the Local Government Act, Infringements Act 2006, and various other acts pertinent to the Branch's services, along with the ability to interpret and apply them
