Are you a customer service-focused professional with a knack for administration and a passion for making a difference? The NSW Department of Education is seeking a dedicated Assisted School Travel Program (ASTP) Support Officer to join the team in Wollongong. In this role, you will play a crucial part in providing efficient and safe transport services to students with disabilities across New South Wales.
As an ASTP Support Officer, you will handle a range of customer service and administrative tasks, ensuring the program runs smoothly. This includes processing applications for students, drivers, and Assisted Travel Support Officers (ATSOs) and managing payroll and compliance-related duties.
What You'll Do:
Deliver exceptional customer service by responding to general enquiries from parents, schools, contractors, and other ASTP officers.
Provide administrative support, including filing, records management, handling mail, and preparing reports.
Process applications, payroll, and other compliance tasks to support the program's operations.
Collaborate with the ASTP team to achieve business outcomes and actively support your colleagues.

Managing competing clerical and data processing tasks to meet deadlines.

You have a Working with Children Check for paid employment.
You have an understanding of and commitment to the value of public education.
