Introduction:
We are currently recruiting 4 x Assistant Accountant for a recognised NFP organisation, they have a shared service environment based in the CBD. It's a fast paced, driven and collaborative environment, working in the finance division, where the colleagues are engaged, aware, friendly and value encouraging ideas.
You will report to the Team Leader in the Finance Team.
Your responsibilities:
- Overall responsible for ensuring the accurate completion of the general ledger on a monthly and annual basis to allow the preparation of monthly financial statements
- Responsible with the completion of the balance sheet and bank reconciliations on a weekly basis.
- Preparation of financial statutory documents, school financial statements.
- Working closely with the team for budgeting, forecasting and month end reporting
- Preparation of Trial balance each month end.
- Undertake ad hoc projects / duties as required to support the team
What experience will you have:
- 4+ year's experience in a similar or related role preferred
- Relevant Accounting / Finance qualifications, Studying towards CA or CPA helpful
- Prior experience in using TechOne is preferred
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, able to manage and build relationships with both internal and external stakeholders
- Ability to meet strict deadlines
- Strong work ethic, diligence, integrity
- Detail-oriented and meticulous
