We are searching for Asset Inspector for network infrastructure to deliver essential services to the community? Mount Barker District Council is searching for a skilled Asset Maintenance Inspector to join the team.
In this role, you will play a crucial part in maintaining and improving wastewater, recycled water and bore water services, ensuring compliance with regulations and best practices. You will work closely with developers, contractors and internal teams to oversee the quality of wastewater infrastructure, conduct inspections and provide expert technical advice.

Your new role will involve:
- Knowledge of wastewater, recycled water and bore water systems, including design, construction and maintenance.
- Understanding of relevant legislation to ensure wastewater infrastructure compliance.
- Experience in construction quality verification, inspections and compliance with water standards.
- Strong problem-solving skills to assess issues, determine solutions and address non-compliance.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills to engage with developers, contractors and internal teams.
- Experience in project management, data collection and compliance reporting.
- Ability to support maintenance and repairs reactive and preventative works as required.
- Willingness to participate in an on-call roster (1 in 3 weeks) for emergency repairs and network issues.
To be successful you will need:
- Relevant trade qualifications or experience.
- Experience in network asset operations, wastewater, recycled water and assessment.
- Experience in internal and external stakeholder engagement and negotiations.
