Duties & Responsibilities
Documentation: Read & interpret manufacturing drawings, diagrams, work orders, reports & assembly instructions.
Process Control: Ensure control of assembly steps using the assembly drawings provided.
Preparation: Prepare product components to be assembled & ensure that all of them have been quality-tested.
Assembly: Perform assemblies to the highest quality standards using approved manufacturing procedures.
Quality Assurance: Inspect sub-assemblies for workmanship & compliance to documentation; perform quality inspection throughout the assembly process.
Maintenance: Ensure that work tools are in good condition & that the work area is clean.
Efficiency: Keep work area organised, efficient, & productive.
Safety: Maintain safe & clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, & regulations.
Teamwork: Ability to work with other assembly personnel in a cooperative, team manner.
Flexibility: Perform other duties as assigned by Supervisor.
Qualifications & Skills
Industry Experience: Proven experience in electronics manufacturing.
Technical Aptitude: Experience using hand & power tools to assemble products & hand soldering experience.
Dexterity: Good hand-eye coordination & excellent manual dexterity; ability to work with small, detailed objects.
Technical Literacy: Ability to read & interpret part drawings, understand dimensions & tolerances.
Operational Stamina: Ability to work quickly & accurately while performing repetitive tasks without losing focus.
Soft Skills: Positive team-oriented attitude with a willingness to learn.
