Pay Scale: APS6 $65.03 - 73.84 / EL1 $81.81 - 89.84

Key Duties & Deliverables
Conduct Complex Investigations: Lead sensitive investigations in accordance with the Australian Government Investigation Standards (AGIS), utilising a Certificate IV in Government Investigations (or equivalent).
Case Management: Assess and plan cases, conduct formal interviews, and prepare statements/affidavits.
Evidence Handling: Collect, secure, and manage evidential material and confidential information in line with legislative requirements.
Brief Preparation: Prepare comprehensive briefs of evidence for referral to the Australian Federal Police (AFP) and the Commonwealth Director of Public Prosecutions (CDPP).
Legal Representation: Provide expert evidence in criminal and/or civil court proceedings on behalf of the Department.
Reporting & Analysis: Analyse complex information to produce accurate reports and manage administrative project work.
Stakeholder Engagement: Liaise with internal staff, partner agencies, and third parties to progress investigations.
Field Activity: Execute out-of-office investigative and operational activities, including domestic travel and overnight stays as required.
