APS6 Project Officer
This dynamic APS6 Project Officer contract role provides high-level corporate, communication, and secretariat support to senior leadership. Operating within a complex and fast-paced division, you will ensure the seamless coordination of governance processes, draft executive briefings, and optimise internal information systems
The Details
- Start date: ASAP
- Contract length: Until December 31st (Possible extension)
- Hourly Rate: $60.26 p/h + Super
- Locations: Newcastle, Gosford and Taree NSW
- Work Rights: Australian Citizenship required
Key Responsibilities
- Executive Support & Secretariat: Deliver end-to-end secretariat support for governance forums and executive meetings, including preparing agendas, coordinating papers, managing version control, and tracking action items to completion.
- Briefings & Communications: Lead the preparation, coordination, and quality assurance of executive briefings, reports, and correspondence. Translate complex or sensitive information into clear, fit-for-purpose messaging for diverse audiences.
- Project & Compliance Monitoring: Track project deliverables, monitor risks, and ensure strict compliance with relevant legislation, policies, and governance frameworks across the division.
- Digital Content Management: Strategically develop, manage, and maintain SharePoint content, including building/redesigning pages and overseeing information architecture to support agency-wide communication.
Skills & Experience Required
- Government Governance: Demonstrated experience providing high-level governance and secretariat support within a government agency or large, complex organisation.
- Communication & Analytical Skills: Highly developed written and verbal communication skills with a proven capacity to synthesize complex data into concise executive advice.
- SharePoint Proficiency: Advanced digital capability using SharePoint to manage information architecture and support change initiatives.
- Organisation & Drive: Exceptional organisational skills to manage competing priorities, monitor risks, and consistently meet tight deadlines.
