The Details
- Start date: ASAP
- Contract length: Until December 31st (Possible extension)
- Hourly Rate: $55.24 p/h + Super
- Locations: Newcastle, Gosford and Taree NSW
- Work Rights: Australian Citizenship required
Key Responsibilities
- Governance Support: Provide administrative and secretariat support to senior management, including coordinating briefings, tracking action items, managing workflows, and organising meetings.
- Documentation & Reporting: Prepare high-quality, accurate written materials such as briefs, reports, and correspondence, translating complex info into clear insights.
- Process & Compliance: Perform complex procedural tasks aligned with legislative, policy, and compliance frameworks while identifying process improvement opportunities.
- Digital Communications: Use SharePoint and other digital platforms to develop, manage, and disseminate content, ensuring seamless information sharing across the region.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Actively liaise with diverse stakeholders to gather information, provide project updates, and progress operational tasks.
Skills & Experience Required
- Governance Expertise: Proven experience providing governance, compliance, or secretariat support within a government department or large, complex organisation.
- Top-Tier Communication: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with a knack for tailoring information to suit different audiences.
- Organisational Brilliance: Strong ability to multi-task, manage competing priorities, meet tight deadlines, and operate with a high degree of autonomy under broad direction.
- Tech Savvy: Practical experience using SharePoint to build pages, manage content, and support internal communications.
- Proactive Problem Solving: A continuous improvement mindset paired with the ability to identify, assess, and escalate risks appropriately.
