APS6 Procurement/Contract management officer
12 months initial contract with possible extension
Are you a highly skilled procurement and contracts specialist looking for your next opportunity? We are seeking an APS6 Procurement and Contract management Officer to deliver a high-profile Program of work for our Federal Government client.
This is a unique opportunity to apply your procurement and contract management skills in an environment where autonomy is encouraged, and your work directly contributes to national public health priorities.
Key responsibilities:
- End-to-End Procurement: Managing complex procurements for program operators and related work (e.g., reviews, report writing, and design work), from initial approval to contract execution
- Contract Management & Compliance: Acting as the primary point of contact for program partners, drafting and monitoring contracts, arranging payments, and ensuring strict compliance with CPRs and the PGPA Act.
- Financial & Governance Reporting: Preparing financial and procurement reports for internal stakeholders and assisting senior staff with Budget deliberations and program activity
- Documentation & Coordination: Drafting non-contract arrangements such as MoUs for data sharing and research, and coordinating with legal, finance, and specialist medical advisers.
Required Expertise:
We are looking for an individual who is resourceful, resilient, and ready to contribute to strategic procurement outcomes
- Procurement: Experience in managing complex procurement projects and programs , with sound knowledge of the Commonwealth Procurement Rules (CPRs)
- Financial Acumen: Familiarity with procurement-related elements such as Departmental financial delegations, contract registration, and financial payment tools.
- Governance & Issues Management: The ability to provide strategic program management advice, streamline workflows, and ensure compliance with relevant rules and guidelines
- Clearance: Mandatory requirement for a Baseline security clearance.
