You'll be the go-to person for complex cases, diving deep into research and investigations to help us make the right call. It's a role where you get to work on your own, but you're also part of a collaborative team that's all working towards the same goal. You'll be a key player in ensuring everything runs smoothly, from complex case management to engaging with key stakeholders. Key responsibilities will include:
Perform complex security vetting activities and deliver on an agreed range of performance outputs.
Accountable for accurate, complete and timely work, sharing own expertise with others and guiding and mentoring others.
Use knowledge and experience to collate and analyse data to prepare detailed security reports.
Liaise with strategic stakeholders including Defence, government and industry to achieve security vetting outcomes.
Work collaboratively with team members and actively participate in team work and meetings to achieve work area objectives.
Recommend or exercise delegation to grant, continue, revoke or deny personnel security clearances in accordance with whole of government policy and guidelines.
Analyse findings of the security vetting process, investigate inconsistencies and factors relevant to a clearance subject’s suitability to draw sound conclusions and make recommendations.
Plan, arrange and conduct interviews and enquiries concerning the clearance subject as part of the security vetting process.
Australian Citizenship is mandatory.
Mandatory Requirement: Certificate IV in Government Security (Personnel Vetting).
Security Clearance: A minimum Baseline Security Clearance is required, or the ability to obtain it.
Experience: You should be an experienced Security Vetting Analyst with a strong background in providing technical advice, conducting research, and managing complex cases within a government or high-security environment.
Key Skills:
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
High attention to detail.
Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
Experience in handling and managing confidential and sensitive information.
Strong ability to produce high-quality outcomes in a fast-paced environment.
