The Opportunity
We are seeking an operational superstar for an initial 6-month labor hire engagement as a Fleet Officer (APS5 equivalent).
Supporting the national Fleet Manager, you will be the gears that keep the organisation moving. This is a fast-paced, highly varied role managing day-to-day coordination, procurement, and end-to-end insurance claims.
What You’ll Be Doing:
Fleet Coordination: Manage vehicle leasing, maintenance, lifecycles, vehicle selection, ordering, infringements, and breakdown coordination.
Insurance Management: Own the end-to-end insurance claim process via Comcover, including managing repair quotes and temporary hire car arrangements.
Procurement Support: Assist with purchasing activities in strict alignment with Commonwealth Procurement Rules and internal policies.
Stakeholder Engagement: Act as the key point of contact for internal staff, senior management, leasing companies, and external insurers.
Data & Admin: Maintain immaculate fleet records, systems, contract files, and documentation while assisting with monthly operational reporting.
What We Are Looking For:
The Blueprint: Solid experience operating in fleet management roles, vehicle leasing, or related contract/procurement environments.
The Communicator: Excellent written and verbal communication skills—you can confidently advise internal clients and external providers alike.
The Organiser: A proven ability to manage competing priorities effectively without dropping the ball on data accuracy.
Tech Savvy: Highly proficient in MS Office and dedicated Fleet Management databases.
Government Know-How (Desirable): Prior exposure to government environments or holding a Cert IV in Government (Procurement and Contracting) and/or Fleet Management is highly regarded.
Eligibility & Requirements:
Must hold Australian citizenship.
Must satisfy a National Police Records Check.
Must complete a health declaration/clearance.
