Randstad is proud to be working with a key Federal Government body to recruit a highly motivated Communications Support Officer to join an engaged and enthusiastic team.
The Role
As the Communications Support Officer, you will be crucial in executing the Campaign communications strategy. This includes delivering high-quality content, coordinating campaign events, managing branding and design outputs, and overseeing merchandise production and distribution.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Content Creation: Drafting and editing high-quality communications products, such as social media content, talking points, media releases, speeches, and campaign collateral.
- Branding & Design: Leading the design and production of branded materials , including digital assets, print products, and merchandise.
- Merchandise Management: Managing campaign merchandise, including sourcing, design, distribution, inventory tracking, and supplier coordination. This includes undertaking procurement and contract management activities for merchandise and design services.
- Event Coordination: Supporting the coordination of campaign events and launches , focusing on logistics, branding, design, and stakeholder engagement.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Liaising with Posts and Canberra-based divisions to coordinate messaging and approvals , and engaging with internal and external stakeholders, including senior officials and international partners.
What We're Looking For
The ideal candidate will have the following:
- Experience in Graphic Design and proven proficiency in tools like Adobe Illustrator and InDesign.
- Experience in contract management and procurement for branded merchandise and design services.
- Experience in event coordination and branded merchandise production.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills , with the ability to manage information with discretion and adapt communication style.
- Ability to work independently under limited direction , manage competing priorities , and collaborate effectively across teams and with external stakeholders.
- Experience in strategic communications, public diplomacy, or media engagement is highly regarded.
