Our client is seeking a proactive and passionate Application Manager to lead their Application and Data team. This position will play a crucial role in running strategic projects, driving the migration of applications to the cloud, and advocating for technology that genuinely enhances the work of our end-users.
If you thrive on building team capability, refining processes, and using a "curious questioning mentality" to sort a "muddy field," this is the perfect opportunity to combine technical leadership with people management.
Skills:
- Demonstrated experience managing and supporting a diverse Application Portfolio.
- Solid understanding of ERP systems.
- Experience in leading a team (current team size of 5) and increasing team capability
- The ability to engage with stakeholders from different backgrounds as this is a not for profit provider
In this role, you will:
- Act as the key liaison, ensuring vendors are held responsible and deliver on their commitments.
- Lead and execute a pipeline of strategic projects within the application and BI domains.
- Champion the process of moving applications to the cloud, ensuring a smooth and successful transition.
- Manage, mentor, and build capability within the team of BAs, App Support, and Data Engineers.
- Develop a deep understanding of end-user needs and tailor technology solutions to maximise their efficiency.
- Implement governance and refine IT processes to ensure stability, security, and quality delivery.
- Maximise the IT budget and spend, ensuring the organisation gets the most value from its technology investment.
