We are seeking a Senior Procurement Officer to support the government construction and infrastructure sector in implementing procurement strategies and policies while delivering high standards of service to internal and external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
Communicate procurement strategies and Queensland Procurement Policy requirements to staff, facilitating changes to traditional procurement practices through training and education programs.
Prepare tenders across categories including construction, maintenance, consulting, and upgrade projects, ensuring evaluation and regulatory compliance.
Implement local procurement processes in accordance with Queensland Procurement Policy, contributing to reduced material and subcontractor costs.
Work effectively with suppliers and subcontractors to ensure competitive pricing, meet performance standards, and support medium and major building contracts.
Ensure compliance with Queensland Procurement Policy, delegations, and other relevant legislation.
Provide efficient, high-quality customer service, including coordinating responses to escalated queries.
