An established waste management company based in Dandenong is seeking an experienced and motivated Administration Officer to join their team.

This is a busy and varied role suited to someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced operational environment and can confidently support customers, drivers and internal stakeholders. Previous experience or knowledge of the waste, recycling, quarry or transport industry will be highly regarded.

About the Role

Reporting to the Office Manager, you will provide administration support across the business while ensuring day-to-day operations run smoothly.

Key Responsibilities

• Managing incoming calls, emails and customer enquiries
• Processing service bookings, job requests and customer orders
• Data entry and maintenance of internal systems
• Assisting with customer service and operational administration
• Preparing reports, spreadsheets and operational documentation
• Filing, scanning and document management
• Supporting invoicing and general accounts administration
• Liaising with customers, drivers and suppliers
• Assisting with compliance and record-keeping requirements

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• Previous administration experience in a fast-paced environment
• Waste industry experience or knowledge preferred
• Experience within recycling, transport, logistics, quarrying or industrial services highly regarded
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
• Intermediate Microsoft Office skills, including Excel
• Ability to multitask and manage competing priorities
• A proactive and positive attitude
