Randstad is partnering with several South Australian Government departments to recruit experienced Administrators for upcoming projects in the Adelaide Southern Suburbs. We are seeking organized, proactive professionals for multiple 3–6 month contracts, with a high possibility of further extension based on performance and departmental needs.
The RoleAs a Business Support Administrator, you will provide essential operational support to a busy team. You will be the "engine room" of the office, ensuring that documentation, communication, and data management meet strict government standards.
Key ResponsibilitiesFront-of-House: Manage reception, greet stakeholders, and handle professional telephone enquiries.
Digital Correspondence: Monitor and triage high-volume shared team inboxes.
Records Management: Perform electronic filing and document verification in accordance with State Records standards.
Systems & Data: Perform high-volume alpha and numerical data entry; update client profiles and maintain internal databases.
Financial Admin: Assist with basic financial tasks such as invoice processing (Basware) where required.
Compliance: Ensure all documentation meets departmental auditing and verification requirements.
To be successful in this role, you will be a "hit the ground running" administrator who thrives in structured environments.
Essential RequirementsCompliance: A current Working with Children Check (WWCC) and a recent National Police Certificate (NPC).
Technical Skills: Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and Outlook).
Data Accuracy: Exceptional attention to detail with proven alpha and numerical data entry skills.
Communication: Highly developed verbal and written communication skills suitable for a government context.
Availability: You must be immediately available for an upcoming start.
Previous experience working within Local or State Government.
Experience using government-specific software: Basware, Chris21, or Objective/ECM.
Competitive Pay: $37.00 - $40.00 per hour + superannuation.
Work-Life Balance: Standard Monday to Friday business hours.
Weekly Pay: Three pay runs per week to ensure you are paid promptly.
