About Your Next Role
As the Programs and Participation Coordinator, you will take charge of local operations, driving program engagement and building real capability within the community. You will be responsible for the logistics, safety, and execution of meaningful local initiatives.
- Run RAES activities on-site and out in the field, ensuring all sites are secure, clean, and fully operational.
- Command site logistics, including heavy equipment maintenance, supply chain/stock control, safety briefings, and food preparation.
- Partner with staff and community members to build out and scale up locally led practical activities and training.
- Work shoulder-to-shoulder with Yolgnu Supervisors to actively mentor them and build their operational leadership.
- Tailor delivery to individual circumstances while strictly respecting cultural obligations and family structures.
- Back social enterprise projects that foster tangible economic development.
- Maintain sharp and accurate site reporting and documentation.

- Demonstrated background working in physical, practical environments such as trades, the outdoors, or commercial kitchens.
- Proven track record managing teams, building capacity, and mentoring staff in the field.
- Strong planning and organisational skills with the ability to manage resources and assets effectively under minimal supervision.
- Sharp interpersonal skills and the resilience to communicate effectively across diverse cultures and language backgrounds.
- Alignment with empowering First Nations People.
- Intermediate capability in the Microsoft Office suite.
Mandatory Requirements
- Ability to travel to remote ALPA communities via 4WD or small light aircraft.
- Compliance with third-party aviation safety guidelines (maximum body weight of 140kg for light aircraft travel).
- Ability to obtain a National Police Clearance and a Working with Children Check (Ochre Card).
