Your New Company/Role:
As a well established organisation, my client is looking for an experienced Accounts Payable Officer to join their team for a 6 months temporary role and subject to permanency. The role is to be based in their Silverwater NSW 2128. Onsite parking is provided and it is 5 days in the office.
The role is ideal for someone who has great exposure across end-to-end Accounts payable process and be highly proficient in the invoice processing, 3-way match process, matching purchase orders (POs) and goods receipting to invoices. The AP function is paperless, systemized, and semi-automated function
*Must have experience in 3 way matching to PO’s and receipting alongside familiarity with an environment that is paperless, systemized and semi automated. If you don't have any experience in this, it is highly unlikely to be shortlisted for this position.
About the Opportunity / Responsibilities:
Reporting to a nurturing Accounts Payable Team Leader; you are responsible for
- Processing a high volume of invoices accurately and efficiently
- Performing the 3-way match process to ensure all invoices are correctly matched to POs and receipts.
- Performing tasks closely related to POs and receipting
- Investigating and resolving invoice discrepancies in a timely manner.
- Reconciling vendor statements.
- Assisting with month-end closing activities.
- Other ad-hoc duties as and when required
Ideal Profile
This opportunity is for someone who has experience within professional practice and has proven business service/taxation experience. You will also bring:
- Proven experience in an end-to-end Accounts Payable function
- Diploma or Bachelors in Accounting & Finance/equivalent qualification or equivalent work experience
- Strong understanding and practical experience of the 3-way matching process - MANDATORY
- Exposure to SAP and KOFAX is highly desirable but not mandatory
- Construction, Engineering or Manufacturing industry experience is highly desirable but not mandatory
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
- Intermediate Excel proficiency
- Enjoys streamlining processes
Benefits

- $36.00 - $41.00 per hour + Super (Based on experience)
