Your New Company/Role:
As one of the established industry leaders, my client is looking for an experienced Accounts payable Officer to join their growing team, based in Silverwater NSW 2128. This is a permanent full time opportunity. The successful candidate must have exposure in end to end accounts payable duties alongside must be a permanent resident of Australia or a Citizen of Australia (or New Zealand).
About the Opportunity / Responsibilities:
Reporting into a supportive and nurturing Accounts Payable Manager:
Your duties include:
- Complete payments by receiving, processing, verifying, and reconciling invoices
- Ensure that all invoices are entered in the system correctly including matching purchase orders
- Request approvals of invoices and follow up as needed with managers
- Responsible for EFT weekly payment runs
- Responsible for month-end duties
- Resolve invoice issues with the Project Manager and/or suppliers
- Process claims and reconcile payment schedules
- Obtain credit notes when required
- Maintain the accounts payable inbox daily
- Verify and investigate discrepancies
- Complete month-end management reporting
- Ensure compliance with State, Federal, and industry legislations security of payments
- Any other reasonable duties that may be required
Ideal Profile
This opportunity is for someone who has experience within end-to-end Accounts Payable duties with an Accounting background. You will also bring:
- Diploma/Bachelors in Accounting/Finance or work experience equivalent
- Minimum of 4-5 years of experience in similar role
- Strong communication skills both verbal and written
- Ability to work independently and within a team environment
- Excellent attention to detail with strong analytical skills
- Ability to build relationships with internal stakeholders
- Experience with large ERP systems - Coins/Simpro software is highly preferred but not mandatory
Benefits
- Up to $85,000 + Super (based on experience) [can go slightly more depending on experience]
