Your New Company/Role:
As a well established organisation, my client is looking for a young and dynamic Accounts Payable Officer to join their team for a 6 months fixed term contract and subject to permanency. The role is to be based in their Macquarie Park office for 1 day in a week, and Huntingwood office for 1 day in a week and 3 days work from home. Onsite parking is provided at both sites.
The role is ideal for someone who has great exposure across Accounts payable and some GRIR and someone who is keen on going more into analytics as they are in the midst of automating the GRIR process - down the track this role will be responsible for the AI involved in the whole process.
About the Opportunity / Responsibilities:
Reporting to a nurturing Accounts Payable Manager; you are responsible for
- Manage and monitor open GRIR balances and aged items
- Prepare weekly GRIR reports and aged open receipt reports
- Investigate and resolve failed transactions and manual processing needs
- Collaborate with business units and vendors to improve compliance and processing times
- Maintain and update SOPs related to GRIR activities
- Perform supplier statement reviews and reconciliations
- Escalate issues and propose resolution or improvement recommendations
- Ability to document the general process of certain processes
- Resolve GRIR queries
- Some exposure across process automation/robotics/AI
- Support continuous improvement initiatives within the GRIR function as it is moving towards automation phase
Ideal Profile
This opportunity is for someone who has experience within professional practice and has proven business service/taxation experience. You will also bring:
- Young and dynamic candidate who is keen great with technology
- Diploma or Bachelors in Accounting & Finance/equivalent qualification
- Prior experience in a similar role ( 2 years or more ) - experience in data analytics/AI
- Strong verbal and communication skills
- Exposure to Power BI and Microsoft Dynamics 365 is highly desirable
- Intermediate Excel proficiency
- Someone who is interested and great with technology
- Ability to use data tools and navigate through multiple systems
Benefits
- 6 months Fixed Term Contract and subject to permanency - eligible for leaves
- Open to someone who has short notice period
- Up to $85,000 package per year (inclusive of supper) - will be pro-rated to 6 months
- Macquarie Park & Huntingwood location - 1 day each a week in the both locations
