Due to internal growth, they are looking for a versatile Accounts Officer to manage the full transactional lifecycle. Key Responsibilities
You will be the engine room of the finance department, ensuring the accuracy of both the purchase and sales ledgers:
Accounts Payable: Full-function processing of 150+ invoices per week, including 3-way matching, coding, and managing weekly payment runs.
Accounts Receivable: Managing the sales ledger from invoicing through to receipting. This includes engaging with key stakeholders to facilitate the timely resolution of outstanding accounts to maintain liquidity.
Reconciliations: Investigating and resolving complex ledger discrepancies through diligent analysis and performing monthly credit card and bank reconciliations.
Month-End Support: Assisting the Assistant Accountant with accruals, prepayments, and the initial preparation of GST data.
ERP Maintenance: Utilizing Xero/MYOB Advanced (or similar) to ensure all data is "audit-ready" and accurately reflected in the general ledger.
About You
You are a reliable, high-volume processor who takes pride in a "clean" ledger and enjoys the variety of managing both sides of the accounting equation.
Experience: At least 3+ years in a full-function AP/AR or Accounts Clerk role within the commercial landscape.
Technical Skills: Strong ERP proficiency and an understanding of double-entry bookkeeping.
Local Knowledge: You are likely based in the South East and looking to cut down your commute to the CBD while maintaining a professional, corporate career path.
Attributes: A high degree of accuracy, a proactive approach to debt collection, and the ability to work effectively under month-end pressure.
