You will be the engine room of the finance department, ensuring the accuracy of both the purchase and sales ledgers:

• Accounts Payable: Full-function processing of 150+ invoices per week, including 3-way matching, coding, and managing weekly payment runs.

• Accounts Receivable: Managing the sales ledger from invoicing through to receipting. This includes engaging with key stakeholders to facilitate the timely resolution of outstanding accounts to maintain liquidity.

• Reconciliations: Investigating and resolving complex ledger discrepancies through diligent analysis and performing monthly credit card and bank reconciliations.

• Month-End Support: Assisting the Assistant Accountant with accruals, prepayments, and the initial preparation of GST data.

• ERP Maintenance: Utilizing Xero/MYOB Advanced (or similar) to ensure all data is "audit-ready" and accurately reflected in the general ledger.

About You

You are a reliable, high-volume processor who takes pride in a "clean" ledger and enjoys the variety of managing both sides of the accounting equation.

• Experience: At least 3+ years in a full-function AP/AR or Accounts Clerk role within the commercial landscape.

• Technical Skills: Strong ERP proficiency and an understanding of double-entry bookkeeping.

• Local Knowledge: You are likely based in the South East and looking to cut down your commute to the CBD while maintaining a professional, corporate career path.

• Attributes: A high degree of accuracy, a proactive approach to debt collection, and the ability to work effectively under month-end pressure.
