What You’ll Do:
- Business Partnering & Advice: Confidently engage with service managers and directors, providing financial support and strategic advice. You'll go on-site, build relationships and understand the operational aspects of the business.
- Management Accounting: Take ownership of budget preparation and monitoring, detailed end-of-month analysis, and comprehensive management reporting for relevant cost centres.
- NDIS Expertise: Leverage your knowledge of NDIS funding, particularly within the Supported Independent Living (SIL) environment, to best support the directorate.
- Reporting & Compliance: Prepare acquittals and other external reports, including involvement in end-of-year audits. You'll also ensure compliance with organisational policies and assist with developing new procedures.
- Forecasting & Costing: Prepare annual budgets, forecasts, and costings to aid decision-making for managers, Directors, and the Finance Manager.
What You’ll Bring:
- Tertiary qualifications in accounting.
- A minimum of 3-5 years of accounting experience, ideally within the not-for-profit sector.
- Demonstrated experience in NDIS accounting, with exposure to the SIL environment being highly regarded.
- Excellent financial management skills, including proven experience in preparing, analysing, and reporting financial information.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to discuss complex financial information with various stakeholders and a commitment to quality customer service.
- Strong organisational skills, enabling you to work autonomously and as part of a team, meet deadlines, and operate with limited supervision.
- A current Driver’s Licence and willingness to travel for site visits.
