Regional Operations Support Officer | Emergency Recovery
Are you a highly organised administrative professional with a passion for community resilience? We are seeking a self-motivated Regional Operations Support Officer to join a dedicated team focused on helping Victorian communities recover and build back stronger following major emergencies.

The Role: Reporting to the Director of Regional Recovery, you will provide high-quality administrative and logistical support to ensure smooth regional operations. This position is perfect for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys a mix of office-based coordination and operational field support.
Key Responsibilities:
- Executive Support: Manage complex calendars, email inboxes, and travel/accommodation for senior leadership and the broader regional team.
- Operational Logistics: Coordinate the procurement of equipment, IT services, and stationery; oversee the maintenance and fit-out of regional fleet vehicles.
- Meeting & Event Coordination: Organise meetings and presentations, prepare agendas, and act as minute secretary to ensure follow-up actions are completed.
- Stakeholder Liaison: Act as a key point of contact for community members, government agencies, and non-government organisations to impart information and manage enquiries.
- Safety & Compliance: Support Work Health and Safety (WHS) initiatives, ensuring field staff have the necessary training and equipment to work safely in the community.
About You: You are a proactive individual who can adapt quickly to changing priorities. You possess exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to build strong relationships with diverse stakeholders.
Requirements:
- Experience: A minimum of 2 years of experience providing administrative or logistical support to senior staff.
- Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in Office365 and strong report-writing abilities.
- Community Mindset: Experience in community engagement, development, or disaster recovery is highly desirable.
- Mobility: A valid Victorian Driver’s Licence is mandatory. You must be willing to travel regularly across the region.
- Problem Solving: A proven ability to use critical thinking to resolve issues and interpret organisational policies.
