We are seeking a highly experienced, operations-focused Venue Manager to manage a venue on the Central Coast of NSW. This is a crucial leadership role that requires a hands-on generalist to uphold a climate of hospitality while overseeing accommodation, events, and a dedicated team.This is an initial 6-month Fixed Term Contract, with a strong view to transition into a permanent full-time position.
Key Accountabilities:
Manage the venue's day-to-day operations, ensuring guests are welcomed, comfortable, and supported throughout their stay
Oversee the delivery of accommodation services and events, ensuring all catering requirements are met
Supervise and lead a team of direct reports, contractors, and volunteers
- Handle general office procedures, administrative tasks, and local booking enquiries. You will be the final sign-off on staff rostering and timesheets
Essential Requirements & Experience:
- Demonstrated experience in a leadership role within a hospitality, venue, or accommodation setting, with a commitment to exceptional customer service
- Proven experience working with accommodation booking software, specifically RMS is highly preferred
- Experience with staff rostering and planning systems such as Tanda
- Sound computer skills, including the competent use of Microsoft Office, financial management experience and the ability to set up ICT requirements for events
- Must be prepared to work outside regular business hours and some weekends
- Must reside locally in the Central Coast/Gosford area
