Senior UX/UI Designer - Digital Transformation (Insurance/Financial Services) 🚀
Calling all UX/UI Designers!
Are you ready to make a significant impact on a major digital transformation strategy within the financial services sector? We've partnered with a prominent national group—a true leader in their field—who is aggressively investing to build Australia's best web-based digital platforms for quoting, selling, and managing insurance products.
This isn't just a design role; it's a chance to be a customer experience champion and a key driver in a multi-million-dollar strategic shift. If you thrive on challenging projects, want to see your work launch and scale quickly, and are passionate about solving complex customer problems, this is your next career move.
The Role & The Impact
As the UX/UI Designer, you'll be embedded within a dynamic, agile delivery team, working closely with UX Researchers, CX specialists, and Product Owners. Your mission is to ensure the customer voice is at the forefront of all design and development.
This client needs someone who can hit the ground running, translating business objectives into elegant, accessible, and high-converting digital solutions.
Key Responsibilities You'll Own:
...End-to-End Design: Produce high-quality, actionable design assets, including wireframes, interactive prototypes, and high-fidelity designs primarily using Figma.
Stakeholder Influence: Engage and influence Senior Business Stakeholders to champion a "customer-led" approach and ensure designs meet commercial and user expectations.
Design Governance: Maintain and evolve the visual identity and consistency of the digital customer experience across all brands and product journeys.
Insight-Driven Design: Conduct and leverage user research (qualitative and quantitative) to validate concepts, identify pain points, and bring the customer perspective into every conversation.
Agile Delivery: Provide essential design support and expertise in all Agile ceremonies and cross-functional workshops.
What You'll Need to Bring (Your Toolkit)
To be successful in this high-impact role, you'll need the following:
Experience: A minimum of 2+ years dedicated experience in a UI/UX design role, with a strong focus on responsive web, online services, and/or mobile apps.
Figma Mastery: Expert-level proficiency in Figma for all aspects of the design process (wireframing, prototyping, mock-ups). Experience with tools like Adobe CS Suite, Miro, or Axure is a bonus.
Portfolio: An exceptional, detailed portfolio that clearly showcases your design thinking, process, and execution across multiple form factors (desktop, tablet, mobile).
Systems Knowledge: Proven experience working with and contributing to Design Systems and component libraries.
Research Acumen: Practical experience conducting user research (e.g., interviews, surveys) to inform and validate design decisions.
Soft Skills: Strong presentation and articulation skills—you must be able to confidently defend and communicate your design rationale to a varied audience.
This is a rare chance to join a major organisation at the start of an exciting growth phase, offering genuine influence and career progression.
