- Pay Rate: $700 - $800 per day + super
- Location: Melbourne CBD / Hybrid

About the Opportunity
Randstad is proud to partner with a prominent Victorian Government regulatory body currently undergoing a large-scale digital transformation. We are seeking a UX/UI Designer to join a dedicated Customer Experience (CX) team.
In this role, you will help develop new, user-centered platforms designed to improve the experience for both internal staff and external legal consumers. You will be instrumental in translating complex research into high-quality digital artefacts that drive accessible and usable solutions.
Role Responsibilities
Working closely with the UX and CX teams, your day-to-day will involve:
- Design Visualisation: Support the development of journey maps, wireframes, and high-fidelity prototypes using Figma and Miro.
- User Research & Testing: Plan and conduct research and testing sessions with external users (consumers) and internal stakeholders.
- Synthesis & Analysis: Pair with the UX team to analyze research outcomes, iterate on designs, and prepare highlight clips or reports for stakeholders.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Facilitate validation workshops and engage with technical and business stakeholders to identify gaps and inform design decisions.
- Technical Collaboration: Work with front-end developers to ensure design concepts are feasible and accurately implemented.
- Research Operations: Manage recruitment via third-party tools (Askable/Qualtrics), handle incentive payments, and develop discussion guides.
Key Selection Criteria
To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate:
- Proven UX/UI Experience: Demonstrated experience as a Designer with a portfolio showcasing user research, journey mapping, and wireframing.
- Technical Toolset: High-level expertise in Figma and Miro; Askable and Qualtrics is highly desirable.
- UCD & Accessibility: A strong foundation in User-Centred Design (UCD) principles and a commitment to designing for accessibility.
- Government/Large Scale Projects: Previous experience in government, the justice sector, or working on complex web-based applications (specifically Microsoft Dynamics 365 or Power Pages) is a plus.
- Education: A Certificate or Degree in UX/UI Design or a related field.
