The Tenure Specialist is responsible for the end-to-end health of the tenure and contract management ecosystem. Key duties include:
...System Administration & Integrity: Managing system use and data quality through KPIs and metrics, moving the organization toward a self-service data model.
Technical Support & Innovation: Providing hands-on troubleshooting and developing improvements for tenure solutions, specifically focusing on integration with GIS and Business Intelligence (BI) tools.
Governance & Compliance: Implementing and tracking technical standards and workflows based on specific jurisdictional requirements.
Accountability & Reporting: Developing frameworks to measure data completeness. The Specialist will proactively hold users accountable for action alerts and ensure all legal content is secured.
Analytics for Decision Making: Delivering high-level analytics (e.g., tenure-over-time, "coming free" reports, and TARPs) to support executive decision-making.
Training & Development: Equipping end-users with the skills and knowledge required to maintain data standards globally.
Capabilities and Experience
To be successful in this role, the candidate must demonstrate a blend of technical rigour and stakeholder influence:
Technical Expertise: In-depth experience with Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and the application of data management principles to tenure and contract data.
Jurisdictional Knowledge: Proven ability to manage and update risk information systems in response to legislative changes across various global regions.
Data Governance: Experience setting and monitoring clear data governance frameworks integrated with broader project management systems (IPMF).
Analytical Skills: Proficiency in temporal and spatial data analysis to provide insights into spend commitments and land obligations.
