Join a critical infrastructure project introducing advanced signaling technology! We are seeking a highly experienced Telecommunications Data Radio System SME to provide essential technical guidance and review support for a major rollout in a high-density metropolitan area. This role is key to ensuring project deliverables meet all necessary operational and safety obligations for this communication and control system implementation.

What You Will Do:

• Provide expert technical advice on the Data Radio System (DRS) to authorised personnel.
• Review comprehensive project deliverables, including design packages, installation plans, and testing and commissioning documentation.
• Participate in key workshops, such as design review and Safety in Design (SID) sessions.
• Present findings at design forums and obtain approvals for significant design decisions made by the contractor.
• Support the development and execution of a Knowledge Transfer Plan to staff from nominated contractors/consultants.

What You Need to Apply for This Role:

• Minimum of five (5) years of practical experience with Data Radio Systems, preferably within critical infrastructure environments.
• A Degree in Engineering or Technology relevant to telecommunications and systems engineering.
• Practical experience in the design, configuration, and maintenance of data radio networks for operational technology (OT).
• Proficiency with communication technologies, specifically GSM-R, LTE, and emerging 5G technologies.
• Experience in implementing cybersecurity best practices for wireless communication systems, including encryption and authentication.
