We are currently working with a QLD State Government Department to assist in the recruitment of an experienced Technical Specialist (Azure) to provide high level technical expertise for the development, implementation and support of information technology infrastructure and processes in the complex and diverse operating environment of the department.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide a senior level of technical expertise to the department’s ICT systems, including specifically:
- performing administration, maintenance, and support tasks
- capacity assessments identifying and analysing opportunities for expansion or upgrade
- proactively monitoring critical ICT services
- performance and platform tuning
- provide advice and support to departmental staff
- troubleshooting and problem solving
- Vulnerability and Cyber Security management of ICT assets
- Provide strong technical support capability, ensuring requests align with set standards and procedures, and meet agreed service levels, with the capability to develop and improve operating procedures where necessary.
- Provide input into developing strategic and operational responses to emerging needs and dealing with complex requests in a collaborative approach with ICT operations representatives, ICT Service Transition Managers (Change and Release) and other process managers.
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of standardised processes, approaches, documented procedures and other related technical documentation.
We are looking for a candidate who can hit the ground running with a proven skills in the following:
- Completion of AZ-104 Azure Administrator or equivalent
- Microsoft Exchange – management of Exchange Online in a hybrid environment
- Microsoft Azure – deployment and configuration of Microsoft’s Cloud Adoption Framework, Azure Landing Zones and Policies
- Microsoft Azure, Entra – configuration and management of enterprise platform.
- Microsoft Active Directory – 3rd level administration and support of large enterprise environment, e.g. domain controller management and troubleshooting, group policy configuration
- PowerShell scripting – for automation and administrative tasks
- DevOps Pipeline experience – deployment of infrastructure as code
- Certificates/PKI – management and configuration of external certificate service, internal PKI
- ITSM – knowledge writing, technical change management
- Previously supported the successful transition of a service from project to operational.
