The Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced Technical Business Analyst to join a major enterprise team, playing a pivotal role in the ongoing development and optimization of its core business systems, with a strong focus on the Workday ERP ecosystem. This position is central to defining system configuration changes, gathering complex requirements, and ensuring the successful, risk-managed delivery of end-to-end business outcomes.

You will act as the key functional interface between the business process owners and the technical support team.
Key Accountabilities
- Requirements & Process Definition: Elicit, analyze, and document complex business and data mapping requirements, translating them into technical specifications for configuration changes and new system functionality.
- Solution Design & Strategy: Facilitate stakeholder workshops to define "To-Be" process states and advise on industry standards to streamline processes, with deep functional expertise in the Workday platform.
- System Configuration Advocacy: Act as the business advocate in managing configuration changes and improvements, ensuring alignment with functional area needs and minimizing negative user impact.
- Testing & Traceability: Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and demonstrate requirements traceability throughout the entire Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
- Continuous Improvement: Proactively identify opportunities to improve and automate processes, contributing to team discussions, knowledge transfer, and maintaining work instructions.
- Change Management: Work closely with the Change Manager to support end-user adoption through the production of work instructions and quick reference guides.
Essential Skills & Experience (Prerequisites)
- Experience Level: A broad range of experience (typically 5 to 7 years) in a Business Analyst or Technical Business Analyst role.
- Process Expertise: Detailed understanding of business processes and expert ability to design and interpret process maps (Proficient in Visio).
- Requirements Elicitation: Proven ability to engage and elicit complex, detailed requirements from stakeholders across all levels of the organization.
- System Knowledge: Good understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and experience in project or BAU business improvement delivery.
- Soft Skills: Excellent verbal/written communication, highly developed problem-solving skills, and great stakeholder management skills (Executive to Operational level).
Preferred & Desired Technical Exposure
- Workday Expertise: Proven experience with Workday HCM and/or Finance modules, including understanding of Workday Business Processes and integration experience.
- ERP Context: Working knowledge of other market-leading ERP solutions (SAP, PeopleSoft) is beneficial.
- Delivery Methodology: Experience working within an Agile project delivery methodology.
- Industry Context: Background in Enterprise Financial Services environments.
