About the Role Reporting to the Coordinator of Technical Delivery and Maintenance , you will act as a technical subject matter expert responsible for the design, delivery, and management of solutions across a hybrid landscape (cloud and internal services).
You will provide thought leadership on technology implementation, ensuring the availability, security, and integration of critical infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities:
Hybrid Infrastructure Management: Design, develop, and maintain cloud (Azure) and on-premise infrastructure services.
Incident & Problem Management: Lead major incident responses, including stakeholder management and post-incident reviews to ensure system reliability.
Security & Compliance: Execute effective security management practices across cloud and internal infrastructure (e.g., Palo Alto, Azure NSG) to safeguard data and assets.
Disaster Recovery: Develop DR processes and implement testing regimes to ensure business continuity.
Automation: Utilise scripting and Infrastructure as Code (PowerShell, Bicep) to drive efficiency.
Technical Leadership: Provide expert input to the Change Advisory Board and support team management with peer reviews and architectural recommendations.
About You
To be successful in this role, you must be a seasoned professional with a minimum of 10 years’ relevant industry experience, possessing a strong intellectual curiosity and the ability to work in an agile, fast-paced environment.
Tertiary Qualification in IT and/or substantial equivalent industry experience.
ITIL Certification or demonstrated experience in Service Management.
Microsoft Ecosystem: Expert knowledge of Windows Domain environments (Exchange, ADDS, GPO, DNS) and Cloud Services (Azure, Office 365, Teams).
Virtualisation: Deep understanding of VMWare vSphere and Microsoft Hyper-V.
Networking: Experience with Cisco, WAN, Azure Virtual Networks, and F5/Azure Application Gateway.
Scripting: Proficiency in PowerShell, Bicep, and Azure Infrastructure as Code.
Security & Storage: Experience with Enterprise security (Palo Alto) and data protection (Dell PowerProtect/DataDomain).
Licence: Current Queensland ‘C’ Class Drivers Licence.
