About the Role

Our client are a well-established Federal Government organisation based in Yallambie VIC. They are currently seeking a Systems Accountant to come in and assist them on a 6 month temp contract assignment with potential for extension.

Candidates for this role must have:

• CPA/CA Qualification or similar (Desirable)

• Strong functional knowledge of Technology One System

• Baseline Clearance (Highly regarded)

• Previous experience working as a Systems Accountant or similar

• Ability to translate complex data into clear, visual dashboards.

• Australian Citizenship

Key responsibilities will include:

• System Evolution: Lead the management, regular updates, and major upgrades of the TechnologyOne suite.
• Budgeting & Planning: Develop and refine budget templates across various business areas and spearhead the technical setup for the upcoming budget cycle.
• Data Governance: Conduct comprehensive reviews of the Chart of Accounts (COA) to ensure alignment with business needs.
• Reporting Excellence: Build sophisticated, real-time reports and interactive dashboards to provide actionable insights for stakeholders.
• Year-End Support: Partner with the Finance Manager to ensure a seamless year-end close through technical reconciliations and system readiness.
• Training & Best Practice: Act as the internal subject matter expert, providing hands-on training to staff and ensuring the team follows industry best practices.

About You

You will be an experienced Systems Accountant with proven experience and reliability in previous roles.

The successful candidate will possess:
