Randstad is currently representing an FMCG client in their search for a Supply Chain Manager to join their facility in Northern Victoria.
This is a pivotal, hands-on role within a site that has seen significant capital investment and is now focused on "turbo-charging" operational efficiencies.
The Role
You will manage a team of three in a 50/50 split between strategic planning and operational delivery.
Remuneration: $120,000 – $140,000 + Super.
Location: Northern Victoria.
Key Responsibilities
End-to-End Planning: Manage demand and supply planning for milk, raw materials, and packaging.
Operational Leadership: Direct management of the supply chain team and 3PL warehouse relationships.
Process Improvement: Identify cost-saving opportunities and performance enhancements across the supply chain.
Systems Management: Utilise QAD (ERP) to maintain inventory accuracy and reporting.
Procurement & Contracts: Negotiate SLAs and manage domestic and export sales contract execution.
Shop Floor Engagement: Participate in daily DMS meetings and stay active within the production environment.
Your Profile
Our client is seeking a "sleeves-up" manager rather than a purely desk-based administrator. This role suits someone who enjoys being on the shop floor and solving problems in real-time.
Experience: Minimum 5 years in supply chain, with core skills in logistics and demand/supply planning.
Industry: FMCG background is highly preferred (ideally short-shelf-life), though other manufacturing sectors will be considered.
Technical: Proficiency in ERP systems (QAD experience is a significant advantage).
Attribute: A "can-do" attitude with a focus on detail and the ability to work autonomously without hand-holding.
Growth: This role is well-suited for a high-performing mid-level professional looking to take a step up into a broader management position.
