Randstad are proud to partner with the leading provider of construction and strategic building maintenance services for the Queensland Government. We have an immediate requirement for a Supervisor OO6 to join the team in Roma.
This is a technical leadership role focused on the planning and delivery of construction, maintenance, and upgrade works. You will be responsible for everything from high-level scoping and tendering to the active supervision of contractors and trade staff, ensuring all works are delivered safely, on time, and within budget.
Key Responsibilities
... Project Delivery: Supervise the delivery of construction and maintenance works, managing office staff, field crews, and subcontractors effectively.
Scoping & Estimation: Perform high-quality condition assessments and surveys, including the collection of suspected asbestos samples for testing.
Tendering & Documentation: Produce accurate tender packages, material lists, and construction programs for a variety of building projects.
Contract Administration: Oversee a range of preventative maintenance services, ensuring technical specifications and service frequencies are met.
Safety & SMS Governance: Lead the application of the Safety Management System (SMS), including WHS audits, site inspections, and plant/equipment checks.
Risk Management: Verify that all job documentation includes appropriate Safe Work Method Statements (SWMS) and comprehensive risk assessments.
The Ideal Candidate
We are looking for a trade-qualified professional who can combine technical building knowledge with strong administrative and computer skills.
Requirements:
Background: Preferred building industry trade background with a relevant qualification (highly desirable).
Safety: Current Workplace Health & Safety General Safety Induction Card (White Card).
Technical Literacy: Competent in MS Excel, Word, and Outlook for reporting and work order management.
Knowledge: Strong understanding of procurement processes, technical specifications, and building services.
Leadership: Proven ability to supervise contractors and mentor a diverse project team.
- Working Rights: Evidence of current Australian working rights will be required during the application to this role.
