Our Client, a leading organisation in the defence sector, is seeking a driven and proactive Subcontracts Specialist to join their growing team. This is a unique opportunity to play a key role in a high-growth environment, working on complex projects with a global reach.

What You'll Do:
Manage the end-to-end pre and post-contract award process.
Lead strategic sourcing activities and conduct the full procurement lifecycle using RFx documentation.
Review proposals, negotiate contractual documentation, and select or recommend suppliers.
Provide essential contractual support and advice to management and staff on existing contracts and new business opportunities.
Ensure that all contractual business complies with all Export and Import Control requirements
Work on low-volume, high-complexity, and high-compliance subcontracts, many of which involve international transactions with the US, APAC, UK, and Europe.
Monitor and manage the performance of subcontractors and suppliers.
Identify new suppliers to meet program needs and assess their suitability for procurement.
What You'll Bring:
A minimum of 5 years of experience in contract or subcontract management and administration.
A tertiary qualification in a law or business-related field, or equivalent professional experience.
Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
The ability to work accurately, manage multiple tasks effectively, and prioritize work without direct supervision.
A positive, flexible, and self-motivated attitude with a proven ability to work well in a busy team environment.
An understanding of budgets, cost control, and financial performance management.
Eligibility for an Australian Defence Security Clearance.
Experience in the defence industry is highly desirable but not mandatory

This is a hybrid role with a flexible work environment. You'll work 3 days in the office and have the option to work from home 2 days per week, as part of a 9-day fortnight arrangement.
