The Opportunity
An opportunity now exists for a like-minded individual to join the team and contribute to a diverse and growing pipeline of work.
In this pivotal role, you will manage diverse structural assignments from the initial client inquiry through to final delivery. Acting as a technical lead, you will ensure designs are safe, practical, cost effective, and compliant with relevant Australian Standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Delivery: Plan and oversee project schedules, budgets, and deliverables to ensure successful outcomes.
- Technical Excellence: Produce and review detailed structural designs, calculations, and documentation.
- Mentorship: Guide and mentor graduate engineers, designers, and drafters to support their professional growth.
- Client Engagement: Build strong relationships with clients to understand their needs and provide tailored technical advice.
- Site Engagement: Conduct site inspections and liaise with contractors as required
- Strategic Support: Assist the General Manager with reporting, workload forecasts, and identifying growth opportunities
About You
You’ve got a sharp technical mind, whether you're breaking down a complex structural design for a client or working through a snag with the internal team. You’re the kind of engineer who stays ahead of industry trends and takes real pride in seeing a job through from the first sketch to the final site inspection.
Requirements
- Hold a Bachelor of Civil Engineering.
- Hold CPEng Charted Status or ability to obtain through Engineers Australia
- A minimum of five years specifically in structural engineering design.
- Competency in structural software such as Spacegass, Strand, Inducta, RAPT, or Revit.
- Strong working knowledge of relevant Australian Standards and legislation
