We are currently partnering with a progressive, growing structural engineering consultancy experiencing substantial growth across the residential and commercial sectors. Known for a high-trust, autonomous culture, this practice is shifting away from the traditional office model to offer a genuine remote-first working environment.
Due to an expanding project pipeline, they are seeking an autonomous Structural Design Engineer to support the existing team. This role is ideal for a professional who thrives on independence, values clear work-life balance, and enjoys delivering high-quality engineering outcomes across small-scale residential, commercial, and multi-story projects.
Key Responsibilities
...Deliver robust structural design, calculations, and documentation for small-scale residential, commercial, and multi-story structures.
Utilize Tekla Tedds and frame analysis software to execute precise engineering solutions.
Manage design modifications and structural drafting tasks to maintain project momentum.
Conduct structural site inspections as required across project locations.
Collaborate proactively with a decentralized engineering team to ensure seamless project delivery.
Candidate Requirements
We are open to reviewing candidates at different stages of their career, provided they possess a strong consulting background and a high level of self-motivation. We are looking for:
An Intermediate Engineer (3-5 years exp): Ready to take ownership of structural packages and work independently.
A Senior Engineer: Looking for a flexible or part-time arrangement where they can leverage their deep design, drafting, and site expertise.
Essential Criteria:
Proven design experience within an engineering consultancy.
Degree qualified with technical proficiency with Tedds and standard frame analysis tools.
A professional, reliable, and self-managed approach to remote work.
Based in NSW with full Australian working rights (required for local site inspections and fortnightly team co-working days).
