Our partner is a highly regarded, leading government high school in the Adelaide area, dedicated to providing an excellent educational experience and fostering a strong sense of community. We are seeking a proactive and skilled Communications and Publications Officer to join their team for a defined temporary contract.
We are recruiting a Full-Time Communications and Publications Officer (SSO3 Level) to provide vital support for internal and external communications at our client school. This is a critical onsite role working five days per week, commencing January 12, 2026, and concluding on April 17, 2026.
The successful candidate will be responsible for creating, coordinating, and distributing high-quality content across multiple channels, ensuring effective communication with the student body, staff, and the broader school community. This role places a strong emphasis on design and publication production.
Content Creation & Design: Produce visual and written content for various platforms, including design work for print and digital publications.
Multimedia Production: Capture high-quality photos and video footage using a DSLR camera or similar equipment.
Digital Communication: Manage and email direct marketing (EDMs) using platforms like MailChimp.
Social Media Management: Manage social media presence via Meta Business Suite.
Website Maintenance: Perform basic maintenance and updates for the school's website.
Administrative Support: Utilize administrative, CRM, and data management systems (e.g., Daymap or EdSmart) to support communications functions.
General Support: Maintain excellent organisational standards and provide administrative support to the school team.
Applicants must demonstrate proficiency and experience in the following key areas:
Design Proficiency: High proficiency in Adobe Suite, including InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, and Premiere Pro.
Digital Platforms: Proven proficiency in MailChimp or similar Electronic Direct Mail (EDM) platforms.
Software Suites: Strong proficiency across both Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Google Suite (Google Docs, Sheets, Slides, Drive).
Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills with a proven eye for detail and design.
Social Media Expertise: Experience using Meta Business Suite for content planning and scheduling.
Technical Skills: Ability to use a DSLR camera or similar equipment for taking quality photos and video; experience in basic website maintenance.
Administrative Systems: Experience with Daymap, EdSmart, or similar CRM/data management systems is highly desirable.
Work Ethic: Exceptional organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities effectively under pressure.
