About the Role
As Solution Architect, you'll be instrumental in driving the Technology Simplification Program, specifically focusing on ServiceNow ITSM and Student Lifecycle (SLC) RAS planning and replacement. This is a pivotal role where you'll shape the architectural direction of enterprise-wide systems that support thousands of staff and students.
You'll work at the intersection of technology and strategy, developing end-to-end solutions from concept through to detailed design, while collaborating with stakeholders across the university to ensure alignment with strategic objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead solution architecture for ServiceNow ITSM and SLC RAS replacement initiatives
- Develop comprehensive Conceptual, Solution and Detailed designs across Application and Integration domains
- Provide architectural oversight and guidance for enterprise application projects
- Participate as a voting member of Architecture Working Groups and Forums
- Review and provide expert feedback on designs across Cloud, Integration, Applications, Infrastructure, Networks, Data/Analytics and End User Computing
- Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to deliver pragmatic, future-focused solutions
What You'll Bring
- 5+ years developing enterprise application solutions with strong platform knowledge
- Deep ServiceNow & ITSM expertise including ITSM processes (Incident, Problem, Change, Request, CMDB), platform capabilities, migration paths, and licensing considerations
- Experience with admissions or student lifecycle systems, particularly assessing legacy systems and architecting modern replacements
- Strong integration architecture skills including API/event design, data contracts, and enterprise integration patterns
- Data architecture capabilities including data models, lineage, stewardship and governance
- Identity and Access Management (IAM) knowledge with understanding of role-based access controls
- Proven experience developing Solution Architecture and Detailed Designs for Enterprise Applications
- Excellent stakeholder engagement skills with ability to communicate complex concepts to technical and non-technical audiences
- Pragmatic, principle-based approach to problem-solving
- Ability to work at multiple levels of detail from high-level architecture to detailed design
Qualifications
- Undergraduate degree (or equivalent) in Information Technology (preferred)
